In two landmark rulings, the Supreme Court wades into major political battles

Today, the Supreme Court ruled on two cases that deal with major political battles. The first deals with mail-in voting, which President Trump has criticized for years. The Supreme Court upheld a Mississippi law that allows election officials to count mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day but received up to five days later. In another ruling, the High Court ruled that Lisa Cook, a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, can stay in her job for now. Both rulings are considered a loss for President Trump.
